Squirrel Class Timetable
Here is this year’s weekly timetable, it is subject to change over the year.

P.E and Swimming
We have PE on Wednesday. Please make sure you bring your PE kits with you. You can opt to have these left in school or we can send them home each week.
Our PE theme this half term is Outdoor Adventurous Activity. Our PE will be outside so please ensure you have appropriate trousers, trainers and a sweater.
Every Thursday afternoon we go swimming at Blore Hall. Please ensure swimming kits are brought in as well as swimming hats.
Forest School (led by Tanglewood)
Our Forest School day is Friday. Please ensure you have appropriate clothes in school (items that you do not mind getting dirty!). Please bring your wellies to school separately to change into, some children also bring in waterproofs.
Your child will return home in their forest school kit, so please ensure they take their school clothes home with them.
Homework and Reading
Your child will receive a project type homework each half term. This will be due back on the last day of the half term in which it was issued.
In addition to homework, children should read their reading book/eBook to an adult daily. When they have completed their book they should reread it to build fluency and expression. We listen to them read at least 3 times a week in school during our Little Wandle group reading lessons, however the expectation is still that your child reads at home to you to celebrate the book that we have been learning to read. Please feel free to read other material too, and of course read to your child as much as possible. Please make a note of any reading done at home in your child’s reading diary.
Times Tables
All children have access to TTRS (Times Tables Rock Stars) and children should access this appropriately at home to practice their times tables.
Topic
This half term our topic is Toys through History. You can see what we are learning by visiting the History tab. In English, we will be learning using the book Flotsam. Further information on this can be found in the English overview for this term, and on the English subject page.
